Several big national retailers are opening locations in Orange County. Here is a roundup of recent store developments in the county:

?HomeGoods will open in the spring at Sher Lane Shops, a 45,000-square-foot community center at Edinger Avenue and Sher Lane in Huntington Beach. The 24,160-square-foot store will occupy the space vacated by Office Depot, which moved less than a mile away to an 8,500-square-foot space on Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach. The store will join Men's Wearhouse, Stone Hedge Tiles and Vitamin Shoppe at Sher Lane Shops and will be the eighth location in Orange County for the off-price retailer.

?With Nordstrom Rack and Dick's Sporting Goods opening recently at Edinger Plaza, the 155,000-square-foot retail center at the corner of Edinger Avenue and Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach completed a $20 million redevelopment. There are four remaining spaces to fill at the plaza, said Allison Lynch, vice president of Watt Cos., which owns the shopping center.

?West Elm, a national retailer of contemporary furnishings, is opening its first Orange County store Nov. 2 in the home wing of South Coast Plaza.
